Chris Fischer currently works at U.S. Bank and leads the Corporate Development group. Corporate Development works in partnership with the lines of business across the enterprise providing strategic advice and analysis, including the evaluation of acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and partnerships. The evaluation includes the financial, strategic and legal merits of the transaction. Chris has been a member of the Corporate Development group for 19 years and has over 25 years of financial industry experience.

Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and MBA from the University of Minnesota. He was born in West Virginia but most of his childhood was spent in Milbank, South Dakota. He currently lives in Minneapolis with his two children, Tommy and Clara, and two cats. Chris enjoys travel, eating out, and orienteering.

Chris became aware of She Climbs Mountains and Girls Rise Up after his wife, Julie, died in 2019. His daughter participated in numerous events and he was very impressed by the incredibly supportive nature of the program, especially Christine and Shadia. Chris has witnessed firsthand how the program can help a young girl at such a difficult and important time of her life.
