One of the most challenging aspects of early mother loss is the loneliness and isolation that can come when we feel unable to share our stories of our mothers and our losses. This workshop will encourage girls to share more deeply about their mothers’ lives and deaths in a safe space with adults and peers who truly understand the impact of mother loss. Due to the content that will be explored, this workshop is open to girls ages 12+.

She Climbs Mountains is thrilled to invite our community of motherless daughters to join together the day before Mother's Day to honor the memories of our dear mothers. This simple act of gathering with others who have the shared understanding of mother loss is a profound and validating experience. Girl Rise Up is thrilled to partner with Hello Hair Collective for an event that pampers and nurtures girls and mentors and focuses on HAIR! Loving and understanding your hair from a young age helps build confidence and appreciation for the hair you are born with. Girls will have an opportunity to choose how they want to spend their time in the chair - from haircuts, styling tips and tricks, and luxury hair treatments. This workshop is geared towards professionals and organizations serving children and families who would like to learn about our transformative program for daughters who have experienced the death of a mother. We will also be joined by one of our Girls Rise Up mentors who will share about her experience and the impact of our programming.
