  • Allina Support Groups

    • Allina Health provides or offers access to several types of support groups for anyone whom has experienced the death of a loved one.

  • American Cancer Society - North Region

    • We know a cancer diagnosis can be scary – and overwhelming. Whether you need emotional support, the latest cancer information, a ride to chemo, or a place to stay when treatment is far away, we're here to help – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Angel Foundation

    • Angel Foundation is a Twin Cities-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide support to local adults with cancer and their families. For nearly twenty years, our programs have helped families facing cancer find more everyday moments of joy.

  • Brighter Days Grief Center

    • Brighter Days Grief Center is a 501(c)(3) serving grieving families in the state of Minnesota. They provide free services to adults, young adults and youth who are anticipating or enduring the death of a beloved family member. Through their many partnerships and gracious donors, they tailor compassionate services for each family member including grief support, trauma support, legal and financial guidance and youth/family programs. Their signature program, Embrace-A-Family, provides financial assistance for basic necessities, academic support and youth activities. Additionally, they work with schools, communities and organizations to ensure grieving families receive compassionate and appropriate support in all settings.

  • Care Counseling

    • The therapists at Care Counseling walk beside clients in their grief journey, creating a safe space to process their emotions, develop and retell their grief story, create meaning, and promote healing and growth.

  • Children’s Coping Connection

    • As Child Development experts, Children's Coping Connection is passionate about play in the lives of children, teens, and their families. Children's Coping Connection uses evidence-based, developmentally appropriate interventions to address coping and understanding of their grief and loss. They are mindful in creating a safe space for children and teens in order to identify, learn, process, and develop healthy long term coping strategies. Strategies that will be used before, during or after their challenging life event. Children’s Coping Connection offers in-office, in-home, and virtual sessions.

  • Children’s Grief Connection

    • Children's Grief Connection serves families who are devastated by the death of a loved one. Families who struggle with feelings of fear, regret and disconnection. Their isolation is broken by joining with other traumatized families who are experiencing the same heartache. Together in the safe and compassionate setting of Hearts of Hope Family Grief Camps, families make deep connections that provide support and understanding. Isolation is replaced with connection.

  • Children’s Minnesota Bereavement Services

    • Living with Grief Youth Services - A safe space for grieving children and teens to connect and receive support.

  • CornerHouse

    • CornerHouse’s programming aims to address the short- and long-term effects of abuse for the child, caregiver, and family. Through trauma-informed forensic interviews, mental health services, and family support and stabilization, we help each child and family heal from trauma caused by child abuse.

  • FamilyMeans Center for Grief & Loss

    • The Center for Grief & Loss offers specialized therapy for complicated grief, trauma and life transitions.

  • Gilda’s Club

    • Free social, emotional and psychological support for everyone currently impacted by cancer.

  • Grief Care Counseling

    • Grief Care Counseling provides grief counseling to children, teens, adults and families who are anticipating or have experienced the death of a loved one. The counselors have dedicated over 35 years of combined professional careers to the area of dying, death and grief as hospice social workers, school grief counselors, authors and local and national speakers. They are well versed in trauma and crisis counseling and are trained Field Traumatoligists and Compassion Fatigue Trainers through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.

  • Growing Through Grief

    • Growing Through Grief is an intensive in-school grief support program provided to elementary, middle and high school students who have experienced the death of a family member or friend. Grief services are provided free of charge to the student and include peer support groups and one to one counseling on a regular basis throughout the school year.

  • Growing Through Loss - Twin Cities South Suburban

    • Growing Through Loss (GTL) provides support for adults who have experienced loss,
      information about the grieving process, caring and support from others who are also grieving
      and sharing of memories and feelings in a confidential setting.

  • Jack’s Caregiver Coalition

    • Our mission is to improve the way men think, feel, and act in their role as a cancer caregiver.

  • Love Labor Project

    • Love Labor Project is in pursuit of better support services for young adults 20-40 years old who have or have had a parent with cancer. Nothing like this currently exists; we are at the forefront, and it's time we found a place.

  • NAMI Minnesota

    • NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families.

  • Our Lady of Peace

    • Our Lady of Peace is a non-profit organization serving the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, providing hospice care for those in need since 1941. Our Lady of Peace is committed to supporting hospice patients and their caregivers through the bereavement and grief journey. All bereavement services are offered free of charge unless indicated otherwise and open to the public.

  • QUEERSPACE collective

    • QUEERSPACE works with LGBTQ+ youth, the broader LGBTQ+ community and local organizations to create a strengthened LGBTQ+ support network and reduce LGBTQ+ youth isolation, suicide and homelessness.

  • Seasons Hospice

    • The Center for Grief Education and Support (CGES) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, Minnesota provides comprehensive loss and grief services for those who are grieving. CGES is the only free-standing grief center in southeastern Minnesota.  This welcoming setting provides a confidential and compassionate environment for our bereavement clients.  All services are open to the public and are free of charge, but donations are gratefully accepted from clients and donors to support our bereavement programs.  Grief support is available to our hospice families for 13 months following the death of their loved one. We also offer grief support to anyone in our service area who has suffered a loss due to death, regardless if they have had previous experience with our hospice program.

  • Youth Grief Services

    • Youth Grief Services provides a safe and nurturing place where you and your children can turn for help after a loved one dies. Effective December 10, 2020, Youth Grief Services is administered by Brighter Days Grief Center.
