Join us on Tuesday, May 18, 7-8pm CST for a special program facilitated by Dara Kurtz, author of I Am My Mother’s Daughter: Wisdom on Life, Loss, and Love. During our time together, we will discuss the challenges of navigating the world without having your mom by your side.
Dara will share her story, and how finding a bag of letters, written to her twenty years after the death of her mom, changed her life.
She will inspire us with ways she has learned to honor her mom, how she was able to let go of the pain and sadness that she says followed her around like her shadow, and how she was able to make peace with her mom’s death.
Come ready to laugh, maybe cry, think about your own family history and traditions, learn ways you can bring your mom into your life, and connect more with the people you love and care about.
This gathering is open to adult motherless daughters (ages 19+). $10 suggested donation - contribute on our website or Venmo @sheclimbsmountains.
